Wabi sabi is an aesthetic, which finds beauty and truth in our simple, ordinary experience. We are being shown profound truths in every moment. In these cracks we'll find chinks of light, three doorways into a new reality, the signless, the wishless and the open. More...

everything matters

summer meditation retreat with Kuladharini and Singhamati

taraloka 5 - 12 august

To become mindful is to become intimate: intimate with our own experience, with other beings and with everything around us.

The retreat will be based in mindfulness and I will take as themes whatever aspects of the dharma are most alive for myself and others on the team at the time. As I write it is too soon to say exactly what those themes or teachings will be. But what I can promise is a retreat in which we'll take aspects of the dharma, as taught by Sangharakshita, that are subtle and profound and we'll attempt to make these part of our own experience, through meditation and reflection.

We'll also be using film, images and poetry to bring the teachings to life.

It will be a midsummer mindfulness retreat, evoking a sense of intimacy through beauty, simplicity, silence and simply being together.
